Purpose of the position
We are seeking a Professional Computer Skills/ICT (Information and Communications Technology) Trainer responsible for developing, conducting and executing training programs for youth aged from 16 to 30 years.
The trainer will be working to increase the skill set of unemployed youth in foundational job skills to prepare them to enter the formal job market. The position will be working in marginalized communities in Tunis, as part of a larger project by Our Youth Our Hope
Duration: October 2016-December 2016
Key responsibilities & duties
Responsible for delivering two types of ICT training; an introductory class, followed by an advanced level class.
The class focuses on developing a base level of comfort operating computers and imparting standard skills in computer use applicable in most offices.
Conducting and executing trainings in both Fundamental Computer Skills and Career Path ICT.
Formulating teaching curriculum and determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, and class/group exercises for both basic level and intermediate level ICT trainings.
Develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference tools.
Introducing youth with an interest in ICT to a variety of more advanced computer skills and marketable ICT skills, including Web design, Ecommerce and marketing, Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CAD), and other depending on the background of the hired trainer and feedback on the needs of local businesses.
Manage class of 15-30 youth of various levels;
Keep daily attendance and participation records for workshops and provide regular written and verbal progress reports and evaluations to training supervisors;
Develop expected evaluation measures, oversee student progress and assist each student in achieving expected learning targets .
