Senior Contract Administrator



1. Review contracts/subcontracts at the pre-award phase and provide necessary risk assessments to support the Contract Manager in negotiating the relevant contractual terms.

2. Read the awarded contract, identify contractual submittals, highlight and assess potential risks and opportunities and communicate them to interested parties for prevention/mitigation and management purposes respectively.

3. Prepare contractual reports, the contract templates as well as the key contractual letters - in coordination with the Project Manager - ensure a proper tracking and follow-up on all letters/correspondences to avoid contractual problems/incidents.

4. Control the proper application of the contract terms, identify any violation and propose appropriate mitigation measures.

5. Check subcontractors’ progress payments, make sure the work is executed as per contractual requirements, review and analyze subcontractor’s VOR/Claims for future negotiation needs.

6. Identify, document, investigate and follow-up on all events having potential time and/or cost impacts, track their progress, prepare VOR/Claims/Entitlements in coordination with the Project Manager and the Contracts Manager in order to cover any contract deviations.

7. Collect and monitor contractual indicators/data and inform relevant parties in order to follow-up on the financial/contractual status of the project, manage risks in coordination with the Project Manager and the Contract Manager to protect the company’s interests.

8. Participate and/or assist the Contract Manager in defence and negotiation as well as in the review of contractual settlements to protect the company’s rights and interests.

9. Provide continuous support to Project Manager regarding all project related contractual matters, attend meetings and prepare minutes of meetings when deemed necessary.

10. Perform research and development activities in order to maintain and update current work knowledge and be aware of any changes implemented by FIDIC.

11. Participate in continuous education activities/programs, and carry out cross-functional trainings to enhance awareness on specific contractual matters.

12. Coach Contract Administrators at lower levels and conduct return on experience meetings to enhance own and team’s performance.
