Job Description
Position: Program Coordinator for Regional Trade Union Cooperation
Background:
The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Regional Trade Union Program, based in Tunis, Tunisia seeks to employ a program coordinator for the program “Regional Trade Union Cooperation” from 15th of January 2017 on.
The program is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and it started 2015 and will be continued in the following years.
Key responsibility:
– Analyze the trade Union movements in the MENA region
– Developing working lines and projects in the field of trade union cooperation
– Communication with trade unions and other social actors
– Planning and organizing of activities with trade unions in MENA
– Managing financial aspects
– Preparing reports and editing publications
Your Profile:
– Academic background in area of social science
– Minimum 3 years work experience in the area of development and international cooperation as program manager.
– Knowledges about trade unions and social movements in MENA
– Fluent in Arabic and English, French is an asset
– Very good analyze and writing skills.
– Readiness to travel in the region
– Intercultural awareness and team spirit
– Strong presentation and communication skills

Location: based in FES Office in Tunisia
Start: 15. January 2017
Payment: upon agreement
