Job Specification
We are seeking an entrepreneurial manager to run our BPO (Business Process Outsourcing). The purpose of this role is to effectively work with a portfolio of global partners to drive the data manipulation/cleansing tasks of our rapidly growing business.
This person will be responsible for four functions in the BPO department:
Software Production & Operations
Quality Assurance
Bespoke Development
Our Operation team is mainly involved in a range of critical activities for the business, from campaign's execution with APIs to data analysis and development of custom apps.
The ideal candidate must be obsessed with quality and will demonstrate a passion for team management, operations management and a high curiosity for technical and startup environments. Specifically the successful candidate will manage a Java engineering Team, lead a growing internal operations team in the Skylads Moroccan office and manage resources to meet and exceed expectations for internal as well as external projects.
Main responsibilities:
End-to-end ownership of our BPO efforts;
Hands-on software development, including Java coding.
Details about technologies; Java, Java J2EE, SQL
Java Developers team leadership and management
Implementing processes related to the softwaredevelopment lifecycle, including style guidelines, code reviews, testing practices, build process, delivery and deployment
Guiding and mentoring software engineers, making Junior members develop their knowledge and skills
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects;
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget;
Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility;
Report and escalate to HQ management when needed;
Executing projects successfully; includes the execution of Skylads’ proprietary Machine Learning algorithms & Automation software for clients’ advertising campaigns;
Driving continuous improvement through lean management and technology.
Requirements:
The candidate should ideally have at least 5 years experience of software development in a top-tier firm, and team leading & management experience;
Strong experience in leading and mentoring engineers in the daily operations of application development, deployment and support.
Prior experience setting up and scaling BPO teams in multiple geographies;
Experience in building teams and in the recruitment of software developers;
Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results;
Strong project management skills with ability to get things done;
Extremely collaborative and effective in a cross-functional environment;
Consulting experience or operational leadership responsibility preferred;
Strong knowledge in Java.
